It was only a matter of time. Two genre-defining artists together… pop music and dance music’s most famous arbiters of taste, collaborating at last. DJ Hell’s U Can Dance is an interpretation of an unreleased Bryan Ferry song, but it’s one that reflects a perfect melding of two distinct personalities, a record that sounds as if the voice and music were made for each other. TBD is the much anticipated new project from Lee Douglas and Justin Vandervolgen formerly of !!! and Outhud. As the story goes Justin and Doug sat down one evening after having many drinks, bored of their records and the ones they’d been hearing around and set off seeking a brand new sound, a sound defiant of any genre or basic musical understanding… After many happy accidents project/name TBD was born. The Ultimate Warlord

October 26th, 2009 by

Besides their work on THP Orchestra, Grand Tour, Sticky Fingers and Skatt Brothers, Will Morrison and Ian Guenther produced this dark electronic number by the Imortals on Moby Dick. The Ultimate Warlord almost has a Euro sound with Patrick Cowley synth stylings thrown in.
